Team Names
I was just thinking that we never discussed how we are going to handle team names in this league. Given that it's a keeper league, the default position is to maintain team names from year to year. I know, however, that some people get bored seeing the same team name year after year (or even month after month). This is especially true if you've named your team something that sounds clever at first, but gets less and less funny each time you see it. Does anyone have any feelings on this issue? Don't make me post another poll to get an answer.

I will be keeping my team name. I am pondering making a minor substitution of "Levelers" with "Monkeys" given teams with Monkeys in their names won 2 out of 2 leagues that they and I were in. It's highly unlikely though.
If your team does have a bad name, I will change it for you - I am looking at you, Matt. That's not even the right acroynym. I mean really, man. It's TINSTAAPP. You are on notice.
I'd always known that monkeys=funny, but I'd never thought about whether monkeys=victory. If so, maybe a radical change in our Iraq policy is in order. Hell, a bunch of monkeys running this operation couldn't do mcuh worse. Sorry, that was off-topic. Anywhoo, I having picked the greatest name ever for my team plan to keep it. As far as Matt's team name goes, I quick search of the BP archives for articles with Rich's version of the acronym as opposed to Matt's shows that Rich's brings up 30 articles referencing it while Matt's brings up only 3. Therefore, I think a clerical correction is in order. For shame Matt, for shame. (You can't see me but I'm making the tsk tsk motion from Star Wars Galaxies right now and will continue to do so until I get a response to this comment . . . so please hurry.)

Ouch. It looks like a clerical error was made, but not by me. As Yoda was wont to say, "how embarrassing. HOW embarrassing." I think TINSTAAPP speaks for itself despite my mediocre record in 2006.
Ouch, I think Rich just got served. I, on the other hand, was merely relying on his faulty information and believe I've escaped being served (or nailed in Stephen Colbert parlance).
